Singapore Property
Majority of the Singaporeans live in subsidized apartments built and managed by the Singapore government, known as Housing and Development Board (HDB). The rest of the Singaporeans live in private apartments/condominiums or landed property (terrace, bungalow).
Foreigners moving into Singapore typically rent in one of the private apartments/condominiums (varying from older/basic ones to luxurious ones with wide variety of facilities) or converted Chinese style shophouses. Expatriates form the majority of the private rental market. However, most landlords are Singaporeans and investing in real estate is very common among wealthier Singaporeans.
