I’m a UK citizen currently interviewing with two companies based in the US (one is an LLC, one Incorporated). I would be working for both of them on a remote basis, as a Consultent/Independent Contractor, when and where I wanted. But effectively still being paid a monthly salary. Neither of them have a legal presence in the UK for PAYE purposes.
I’m looking for an accountant/accountancy firm with experience of this sort of situation, to advise me on the best route by which I can pay my income taxes, NI contributions and student lone repayments. As far as I know, I should either register for self-assessment as a sole trader (self-employed), or operate my own DPNI scheme.
Any recommendations or comments much appreciated!
